Tim has been footbrake racing since he was 18 and this is the style of racing he enjoys. He used to race a 1977 Ford F-100 that ran 9.50's in the 1\8 mile. He now runs a 1988 Mustang GT with a 351 windsor engine, C4 transmission and a 4:10 gear. It clocks the 1\8 mile at 7.40. His hometrack is Knoxville Dragway. He also races at Cherokee and Bristol Dragway. In 1995, he was the footbrake & track champion at Knoxville Dragway. Tim says " I know how it is about footbrake racers not getting respect, around our area it's mostly the pro cars that get it all, but at Cherokee Dragway they are always glad to see footbrake racers"
